3.1. Which settings are relevant for SAP?

SAP settings:

  • Under Options -> Accessibility and Scripting -> Script Support -> Script Support must be installed and enabled. The sub-item "Notify when a script connects to SAP GUI" must be disabled. (This would prevent recording in SAP.)
  • SAP Scripting must also be enabled on the server side, and you need read access.
  • We recommend unchecking "Animated focus enabled" in the SAP GUI options under Theme/Preview if you want to work in practice and test mode, as otherwise it is immediately obvious where you need to click.
  • You have the option of turning off quick info for interaction design and notifications. Now, no additional descriptions appear when you hover the mouse over a button. These additional "flags" are otherwise visible on the screenshots and may cover part of the image and reveal where you need to click in test mode.
  • Under Options -> Local Data -> History -> Turn off history. New users have no history and therefore cannot enter a few letters in the live system and then use AutoComplete.
