When working with datango products, we repeatedly come across different applications. But what is an application name in the datango context, for example? Or what is meant by the term “application-dependent”?

What is an application?

An application, also known as a target application, is an application software, for example SAP or MS Office. Application dependency is a setting that can be used when creating augmented tooltips in order to describe objects with the same name (e.g. buttons) with the same augmented tooltips across applications.
