The datango quiz is a way of asking specific questions about learning content. But how exactly are they created, what design options are there and what added value does using a quiz offer?
What is a datango quiz?
The datango quiz is a function in the editor for units. Authors can use this function to insert a quiz anywhere in the content and optionally set points that the learner can achieve after completing the quiz. Quizzes provide the learner with variety and help to consolidate what has been learned and clarify open questions about the content. When using the scoring function, the learner's knowledge can also be tested.
Various quiz types can be created with the help of the datango creator: Multiple choice, fill in the blanks, picture area, cloze, grid, match, sort, puzzle, slider and highlight text.
The quiz menu is a menu in the editor for units. Authors can call up the following functions by clicking on the menu: Insert quiz and Insert quiz selection.
"Insert quiz selection" is a function in the editor for units. Authors can use this function to combine a group of several quizzes into a so-called quiz selection. Certain playback conditions can then be defined within this group. For example, authors can specify that the quizzes within the group are played in random order or that some quizzes within the group are not played.
"Insert quiz" is a function in the editor for units. Authors can use this function to insert the following quizzes: Multiple selection, fill in fields, image area, cloze text, grid, assign, sort, puzzle, slider and highlight text.
"Evaluate quiz" is a function in the editor for units. This function can be used to evaluate all quizzes contained in the content for which points are awarded after completion. Authors can also specify the number of points that learners must achieve in order to pass the quiz. The quiz evaluation is displayed to the learner after completing the practice and test mode.
