Shared content: everything you need to know
Shared content makes collaboration between authors much easier. But what exactly is it and how does shared content work?

What is shared content?
Shared content is content of a general nature that can be used to create a wide range of content. Shared content is displayed in the Content Explorer ( Shared Content view). For example, content that describes how to log on to SAP can be used to include numerous SAP transaction processes, as prior logon is a prerequisite for all transaction processes. To avoid having to record the logon process each time, it can be recorded once by, for example, Author A using the datango Creator and stored there in the Content Explorer under Shared Content. The content stored there is automatically uploaded to the datango Collaborator. From there, it can then be downloaded by author B or C in their Creator, for example, and used to create content.
